My grandfather owned the house address in Raton New Mexico 87740. All utilities are under his name Joe A. Marquez. He passed away if February 9, 2022 and I'm trying to move in to the house and apparently there is a passed due amount on his account. I'm trying to turn the utilities on under my name new account and they want me to be responsible for the passed due amount. And refuse to turn them on under my name and I am just moving in. I shouldn't be responsible for someone else's account. they also changed their deposit amount they are requesting twice from 100 to 200$ for the initial deposit. Resolution Sought I would like for them to get fined so they don't do this to anyone else and have all there deposit amounts and rules written on paper. And I'd like to be able to open an account without being responsible for someone else's account.
