I traded in my vehicle 2016 Kia optima for a 2018 Honda accord and the value of the accord was about 19,000$. After closing on the vehicle my loan overall was 42,000$ and they refuse to explain where all this extra money on the loan came from! My payments are over 600$ as well. Resolution Sought Try to refinance my vehicle the proper way with correct numbers and interest fees.

Company states: The complaint in your description was explained to the consumer. With deposit only covering sales tax and registration fees we had to find a that would be able to finance rolling over her negative equity of $9,132 dollars. The customer is also protected with extended protections plans and Guaranteed Asset protection which is very important due to the substantial negative equity. The interest reate on this loan is very competitive in the current market conditions and the structioure on the loan risk.

There was never a deposit made towards the Honda civic. There was only a deposit made towards the Kia optima which was $1,500. The negative equity of $9,132 I was told my Kia was paid off that I had no negative equity off that vehicle. I was never informed of the "negative equity" was rolled over onto the new loan.
