After renting a property from the company, our neighbor had informed us of flood damage done to the property. It explained puddles of standing water all around. We were never told by the property management of said flood. After we brought it up in a discussion, they told us it was true. During a winter storm. We were misplaced from the home due to tree damage to the home and driveway. We paid for tree removal to get back home. After being rudely spoken to numerous times with the property management. We decide to cut ties and leave. Now the management is holding our deposit for cleaning due to the storm. We feel that the storm damage isn't our fault to hold our damage deposits. We took very good care of the property. We fixed things that were broken when we first moved in. We see NOW that the company has numerous complaints of not taking care of any of their properties. Resolution Sought 2000 for damage deposit and tree removals.

From the time the tenants moved into this property they have stated they wanted to move because they road to pull in is on a curve. They have been to our office to pay their rent and have stated as such.. They were told they were in a Lease and they would be held to the Lease. At NO time ever were we notified by any party that the house has "flooded." The only time was by these tenants and I do not believe it to be true because of their track record. This house sits on a side of a hill and there is no river, lake or stream on the property. No basis for this allegation. There was an ice storm that affected the whole state of West Virginia. There was a tree that was leaning on the house. IT DID NOT PENETRATE THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE IN ANY WAY. The internal part of the house was livable. There was no electric because there was no electric in the whole area. The tree did not affect the electric or the wires. We had the tree removed off the house and cut up. They had no part in the removal of the tree. There was a tree from another property that fell across the entryway to the road. Not on the owner's property. They made a call for us to have someone come and cut the tree up and haul it away. It is not the owner's tree or problem. We did, however, contact the Department of Highways for the Stat of WV and they said their main priorities at that time was the main roads and interstate. Can fully understand that. While they could not pull up to the front door of their home, they could walk up to it. They stated to us and on various websites that their sixteen year old son cut up the tree that was across the road on another owner's property. They also posted that on their review. So they did not pay anyone in any way to remove any trees. If they did remove the tree from a neighbor's property, they need to get any compensation from that neighbor. At no time were we ever rude to any Customer. Just because we have documentation to back anything we say or do and you do not like it, does not make us rude, just right. False statement made was that they were not given their security deposit. They were given a check for $357.50 which was the difference of what was charged to clean the home as it was left disgusting. This had nothing, as they said, "due to the storm", but everything to do with the disgusting mess left. We mange over 500 properties. There are not "numerous complaint." They typically stem from false claims as the one presented here and can back every one of them up. All this being said, we have NO intention of giving any money that was needed to clean the home and get it ready for the new tenant. We will now, however, be seeking $2125 for the breach of their Lease. This will cover the time from when they moved out until the new tenant moved in. If not paid in full, we will be turning it over to a collection agency.
