Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

A variety of factors are considered when calculating CRI. This includes how quickly a company responds to complaints, the number of complaints against a company, whether the company addressed complaint allegations, and the outcome of the complaints. CRI is just a subset of the overall rating for the company. Consumers are encouraged to take into consideration the company's CRI, their overall BCA letter rating and other relevant information about the company so they can make a well-informed purchasing decision.

Was interested in joining a Red Hat Society (RHS) chapter 20+ years ago. Found one near me--the "Queen" lived about 2 miles away and oddly enough (since this is a large metro area) I knew her as we had both worked (at the same time for a while) at the same state agency. Didn't join her group because I decided to go to law school. Between working FT and going to school, I had few social activities for nearly 4 years. Fall 2022 I decided to join a RHS chapter. Googled RHS. Thought I would find a list of chapters to contact, attend an activity or 2, and then decide if it was the right group for me. As others noted, it doesn't work that way. One has to sign up with the national group and pay a yearly membership ($30 for general; more if one wants to be a "Queen") before being able to access a chapter list. After I joined, I eagerly scanned the chapter roster. In addition to the name of the chapter, location, and Queen, it also states how many members there are. Was surprised/disappointed to see so many had only one member, presumably the Queen. I wanted to join a chapter that already had a few members. There were at least 2 of interest so I sent messages to the Queens via the website. That was Oct/Nov 2022. Have yet to get a response. OCCASIONALLY get an email from RHS. Just got one 10/5 re renewing my membership. Plan to pass on that! Resolution Sought Would be nice to get a refund but, based on other comments here and other sites, seems unlikely.
