My air conditioning was blowing hot air. Went to company above was told it was fixed. A month later the rep from the company told us it was a temporary fix and we are going to have to pay again to have the car fixed. When that was not explained clearly the first time. The first time we was just asking for an estimate and they come back about an hour later and said the cost was $709.67 . Without asking if that was ok and we thought that if we do not paid it would could not get our car back. Now the ac is not working again and we should not have to pay again. Please help. Thank you! Resolution Sought Please just fix our car or return part of the money so we can get our car fixed.

Company Response

The vehicle arrived on 7-14-2023 with no freon in the system the system was charged with freon and I added no leaks were detected at the time the vehicle returned on 8-21-23 low on freon so the system was recharged and additional dye was added and no leaks were detected again the additional $700 charge for this charging of the system was done at no charge to the customer. This freon is very difficult to detect so dye must be used it is our professional opinion that there is a leak and we added a large amount of dye so when the vehicle returns we will be able to determine what component is leaking

Customer Rebuttal

We did receive service with no charge however we felt that was the responsible thing to do upon paying for a service that was never fixed for me to return for same service. When getting that service on 8/21/2023 putting dye in system twice and adding freon which already happened on 7/14 they stated you should be good we will see what happens. Which isn't a good response from a qualified jeep dealer. I don't won't to pay again for the same service that was supposed to be fixed on 7/21.

Company Final Response

Company states: Freon does not evaporate and should not leak out of a sealed system therefore if there is a leak, we should be able to detect it based on the amount of dye we put in. These vehicles and their freon are very difficult to detect. If the AC system starts to blow warm air again then we can look at it and try to determine which components are leaking and perform the repairs.
