Scam of the day. When an unknown $50. showed up on my debit account, I called my bank, who said it was from Regency Total Warranty, and gave me their contact info. Regency is not a company I have, or had done business with. Because of the many scams on seniors lately, I cancelled that debit card... and called Regency. They said I WAS a customer and it was for my March payment. I explained that I am not a customer. I suggested that they cancel whatever info they had on me, cancel any further action and return my $50, which they were loathe to do. In fact, unless I paid a cancellation fee of $75, they would NOT cancel my "contract" and would continue to bill me instead. When I told them I had already cancelled the card they had billed me from, they had the temerity to request I give them ANOTHER card so they could continue billing me! Naturally I refused...and then they suggested I send them a check.! I may be a senior, but I'm NOT an idiot! Resolution Sought Return my $50, and leave me the heck alone! (And of course, not do this to anyone else.)

I have a regency total warranty policy -# 261166673 On May 22,2025 I made a claim for AC not working I received a claim#00003077 I was advised a technician would be assigned between 24-48 hrs No technician was assigned to my claim So I was advised I could hire my own which I did I was told my serviceman needed to give a diagnosis and estimate which he did The AC was repaired on 5/28/25 the serviceman provided Regency with the invoice of $1700and picture that Regency requested On 5/28/25 I contacted Regency regarding reimbursement of the $1700 I paid for the repair I was told that I needed to provide pictures of the malfunctioning unit and receipts of 3 years of maintenance records I submitted the requested pictures and receipts I waited 2 days then called regency for status of claim I was informed that they hadn't received the requested documents so I resent while I was on the call and they acknowledged they received the documents So waited another week to check on status again they said they hadn't received iSo I resent again I actually sent them the documents 4 times So on 6/9/25 I received on email from regency stating since they didn't receive the maintenance records as requested they would settle my claim in the sum of $175 I told them that was unacceptable So I finally spoke to a manager who told me the maintenance records were fake He never reached out to my AC company but said he was sending my claim to the fraud department I am highly offend Resolution Sought I want to be reimbursed my $1700 out of pocket for the repair and apology and some sort or compensation for the time and aggravation that I was caused
