My husband & I are disabled seniors; my husband is disabled vet. We began having issues with Renewal by Andersen (RBA) on May 5, 2020 when RBA employee, Travis Shearer met at our residence to discuss failing windows & doors. Mr. Shearer was there over 5+ hours & coerced us into signing a document where we would receive a large discount; he contacted GreenSky LLC & established an $80,000.00 line of credit account in our name without our knowledge or consent under the guise of "checking our credit." RBA then charged $80,000.00 on this illegitimate line of credit which we were obligated to pay. GreenSky LLC has been found to have violated federal consumer protection laws after allowing businesses like RBA to prey on consumers by establishing large credit lines without consumers' approval. When RBA established this illegitimate credit line, it violated the terms of the document RBA made us sign, thus voiding their own document. The document states: " [ ] all financing is provided by third party lenders unaffiliated with Contractor under terms and conditions directly set between the consumer and such lender, all subject to credit requirements. Contractor does not assist with, council, or negotiate financing, other than providing customers an introduction to lenders interested in financing." On July 22, 2020 we wrote to RBA to cancel the order. RBA refused & threatened us with lawsuits despite contract containing "buy out" clause. RBAs repeated threats wore us down Resolution Sought RBA committed felony [establishing an illegitimate $80,000.00 credit account in our name with GreenSky LLC without our knowledge or consent] on May 5, 2020. Travis Shearer, RBAs representative, committed that felony, lacked the legal capacity to enter contract. He violated the terms of contract by contacting financial provider & establishing credit. On 7/22/2020, despite RBAs contentions, there was no contract. We paid $106,586.00 to RBA due to threats & intimidation. All must be refunded
