I purchased an engine block for $363 for a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. My mechanic inspected it and determined the rods and rod bearings in it were bad. I received a quote from a machinc of $4200 to repair the engine block. I informed Riteway that the engine block was bad and asked for a refund or comparable engine block. I was told that the warranty didn't cover bad bearings or rods. The receipt for the purchase says there is a 30 day warranty on all of the parts and does not make an exception for bad rods or bearings. It makes no sense to by a block for $350 and pay $4200 to get it repaired. A used entire engine for the car is about $2500. I returned the item within the warranty time period and was not given a refund, store credit, or comparable engine block. Therefore, I would like a refund. Resolution Sought Provide me with a refund given I've returned their warrented part within the 30 day time frame in accordance with the terms and conditions of my receipt.
