I left a refundable check for $300.00 as a deposit on a car. I opted out of buying the car because the interest rate was too high but the dealership had already cashed my check without me even filling out paperwork ! I called several time and each time I got a different excuse as to why I have not yet received my money back. Firstly, I was told that it was being sent and that I should have received it last Monday or Tuesday. Another person told me, after I was explaining that I was tired of getting the run around, that now I would have to wait longer for my money and hung the phone up on me. His name was Joe. After, recuperating from that call, I called and spoke to a Becky who told me the owner of the dealership was sick for three days and had not been in for three days to sign any checks! Yet another story! To date, I have not yet received my money. Is this even legal? Resolution Sought I want my money back. Plus people should be made aware of their business practices.

Company called stating, the check was ready for customer to pick up since March 30th however customer never picked it up. Sales manager went on vacation for about two weeks but left the check with other manager to release to customer but apparently customer just picked up the check yesterday. A full refund has been issued to customer.

Riverhead Hyundai NEVER notified me. I called again yesterday. The salesman contacted the person on vacation who told him the check was on his desk. My daughter picked the check up yesterday. It was dated the 3/30/23 but I was NEVER advised. I was told numerous things but NEVER that the check was ready. Thank you for your help.
