Customer Complaint

I had a painter contractor coming and do roofing and painting and it's been 3 weeks and now the nails are all blue bleeding through my white paint. so it has little brown spots all over the white because he didn't properly prime the place before he did it. must have been wet or something I contacted him he was a total jerk and said that I could do it myself and all this other c***. I want to file complaint against him because this is other people in town that he's paying for he's a big contractor in town and he's 22,000 for my 99 year old grandmother who home was done I simply asked him to come out and look at it why is it bleeding through and he pretty much told me that was my problem if you wanted to pay you extra to come out and fix it he would fix it this is part of the job he didn't prep it properly didn't prime it properly so I have nails bleeding through the white paint he won't even talk about even taking care of it he's telling me that you can do it yourself and all this other stuff I would like to contact somebody to help us with the situation my grandmother put her life savings into this reconstruction of this house and I and now he's taking advantage of that! Resolution Sought He should return some of her money if he's not going to properly fix it so I can get a contractor in there that can probably paint the place the way it was supposed to be at least patch up the bleeding nails that are coming through the white paint he's not going to come out and fix it then I'm going to have to find somebody else to fix it so I need to be able to pay them to do this so he needs to pay her her money back partial money which is $8,900 for painting

Company Response

REVISED 9/27/21: To be specific we coated with two coats of oil based primer Binz and two coats of Emerald satin for finish. ========================================================================================== I thank you for getting in touch with me about this complaint to be honest it's my first and probably last Ive ever had to deal with. She was absolutely over the moon before during and after we were done. We even went above and beyond her requests to ensure maximum long term water protection. This is a 220 year old house and the exterior hadn't been touched in atleast 33 years from what I was told by her. We coated the exterior with four coats of paint and used 3 boxes of sealant to close up all gaps and cracks, which was another first to need 3 boxes to seal up a house. We replaced wood, roofed the whole house, and painted the whole house as well. All the neighbors came up and complimented us. They couldn't believe how nice it turned out compaired to what it looked like before. It went from the worste house on the block to the nicest house on the block in just two work weeks time.
