I sold silver jewelry and received $18.00 for odds and ends . I Asked if he could get an automatic watch repaired . He said he could . Showed him a ruby ring and my grandmothers garnet ring given to me . He valued them . He asked if he could clean my ruby ring . When I picked it up , it was not my pink reddish ruby gem stone . It was a purple ring . I told him that . He felt accused . I was appalled , confused and embarrassed all at the same time . I left . I became livid . I talked to friends and family and other jewelers for advice and to vent . I called the Guilderland police department and filed a police report that's on hold . Unfortunately , there is no proof, no paperwork , no invoice . So I do feel that I was a sucker and trusting and was duped . He , however , was criminal , in his intent and dealings with me . Although, I did not ask for an invoice , he did not provide one either so that was sloppy business and shoddy practices . He acted criminally and stole from me . When he did that he let thievery into his business ! I have since confronted Robert allowing him to admit a mistake occurred. He has continued to deny the whole thing . Resolution Sought Not sure Will take suggestions Experience the result of unethical (criminal) practice
