I rented a car and returned the car with a very small scratch. The rental car company charged me a large amount without explicitly obtaining my approval on the amount. They charged the card and claim that the repair invoice that was $4,275.03. I have pictures of proof that there is no way that would cost that much. Resolution Sought I want to pay a more reasonable repair price. A small scratch does not cost $4,275.03. This is fraud.

My daughter rented a car on December 19,2025. Unfortunately, she had an accident -she hit a brick on her way to return the car. It was just a scratch on the right side of the car. Route Car Rental is charging her $5,000 for the damage to fix the scratch, which my daughter and I think that the price was way too much. In other words, they over priced the repair of the simple c Without authorization, they charged the $5,000 from our credit card . The amount can be considered a scam. We can buy an old car cheaper than the cost of the repair of the scratch which is $5,000. We cannot afford to pay that much. I am complaining so that other customers should be aware of this Route Car Rental Company. Resolution Sought Lower the charges.
