Arrangements and communication (in person and via text) regarding a Jan 30th event titled "Beer and Hymns" music event were made back Sept/October 2023 as a combined outreach event for two local churches. Upon our arrival he claims to "suddenly have learned" that it involved singing ,When we arrived with our music equipment, the bartender asked me what was wrong, and I said the stage has equipment on it for another artist. This is not right, nor was the agreement. The wife of the owner then came out and said Dino is on his way, which I replied this is a big problem. We have a lot of people coming tonight for this event. Somehow that translated into me being "rude and mean" to both his bartender and wife. I never raised my voice or swore at them. When the owner Dino arrived, he came at me very aggressively while I was music equipment back to my car. He flat out said we are non-denominational, and I don't want singing of any sort here, even though I have a text chain of communication proving that this was mentioned. Dino handled himself very unprofessionally, was yelling at me demanding that I look him in the face while was busy with both hands full re-loading my equipment out. Clearly he is a disorganized business owner and could have handled this with much more discernment, and class. I have the texting strand of communication between me and the owner, along with the Pastor and myself who was there for the initial meeting about the event arrangements. Resolution Sought 1) apologize for his behavior, in misrepresenting his intentions, and lack of follow through. He lost approx 75-85 patrons this evening. 2) reimburse us both funds lost in marketing, PR work, and print work costs for the event. There was a lot of front-loading work ahead of this event…. Which he ruined due to his hot temper, and lack of communication skills.
