they took money from my account and I told them I don't need their service anymore and they told me they are going to charge cancellation fee

I hired a pest control service to get rid of a mouse in my house I already had a pest control company but they didn't get rid of mice so I called for them to get rid of the mouse. I explained to the salesman about my problem and he told me I can cancel at any time.they took money from my account and I told them I don't need their service anymore and they told me they are going to charge me a cancellation fee I told them about what the salesman said and they told me I still have to pay.and they didn't even get rid of the mouse I killed it
