This dealership tried to sell me a vehicle that is a hazard to the street. I first came into contact with the dealer on 8/5/23. I contacted the dealer on 8/10/23 via email to inform him of the work the vehicle needed to be safe to drive. They told me that it can be fixed by their mechanics. On 8/19/23 they contacted me stating the vehicle was ready with and outdated invoice for 8/3/23. The invoice was for $1780.21. At the top of the invoice they hand wrote a price of $2870.21 and said to pay it but the invoice was dated for 8/3/23. I had first came into contact with the dealer on 8/5/23 so how could this be? I never received the title or signed one. I never took ownership of the vehicle. The dealership still has the vehicle, keys, title, and my hard earned money. I have reported this merchant to my credit card company and it is in investigation as we speak. The credit card companies are Capital One which the dispute is closed already. There is Navy Federal which is currently under investigation. And there is Apple Federal Credit Union which I made the purchase of $4900 to Safe Auto from my debit account that is under investigation. Me and my family have been set back tremendously from this merchant's business practices and tactics. School has just started and I have a family to take back and forth from work and school. Resolution Sought I would like to receive my refund of $8,000.00.

Company Response

The Company states; The customer had purchased a 2007 Cadillac Escalade from us for $7600 plus the processing fee on August 5th, 2023. He bought is "AS IS" and signed all the proper paperwork including the title and drove his car off the lot same day. After a couple of days, he came to our office saying that he had the truck checked in at the Cadillac dealership and they gave him an estimate of about $12,000 for some services. I looked at his paperwork and explained to him that Cadillac dealership obviously is charging too much for a $7600 worth of a truck. I agreed to helping him finding a more reasonable priced mechanic to get the services that he wanted done to his truck. I called around and got an estimate of $2800 part and labor for everything he wanted done. He was happy with it and left his truck to get services by Canil Auto Mechanic. But after a week that his truck was ready, we tried calling him and leaving messages to tell him saying his truck is ready he never responded back to us. The mechanic wants invoice paid ASAP and claims they're charging storage fees. To settle this, I'm willing to pay half of the mechanics bill and Mr. White pays other half of the total $2800 to the amount of $1400 directly to Canil Auto Mechanic, this offer will expire by October 3rd, 2023, and after this date he will be subjected to a storage fee of $95 a day. I have all the receipts and paperwork of the job that was performed on this truck. To summarize the services and repairs done by Canil Authomechanic: 1 - Driver side Exhaust Manifold was replaced 2 - Camshaft position Sensor was replaced 3- Oil Pressure switch 4- Front crankshaft seal 5 - All around rotors and brake pads 6- Front Sway bar 7- Brake Caliper Most of these services was recommendations by Jim Coleman Cadillac that the customer wanted them done.
