Company Response

Company states; Mr. Bubar came to my shop to have frame work done to his truck. He was informed that it would cost about $4000 for a complete frame swap. He stated that he didn't have that kind of money & just wanted it patched up so he could drive it to work, so we agreed on doing the Shackelford area of the frame. He gave me $1000 that day. I took off the bed, started cleaning the frame, and realized both sides of the truck frame were gone. I informed him of this on the phone, sent him pictures as well and asked him to come to the shop to see for himself and discuss it. He was in the area and came to the shop that day. We agreed that the work would be extensive. He still asked me to fix it and said he would make payments, but not to start anymore work for 3 weeks, so he could keep using a friend's truck to save money & to finish some jobs to pay me. I told him I wanted no parts of that situation with his friend. He left the truck there. He came back a week or two later & said that he was buying a vehicle in Portland with his daughter, not to put it back together, they will take it like it is. He came with a U-Haul, got the truck, cap, & all the parts that been ordered for the job. He said we were "squared" & everything was good. That was done and gone. Mr. Bubar came to the shop again on July 29th and was demanding a refund - the Portland deal had failed, and he wanted to buy the truck he'd been using. He was told he would be refunded any money due to labor, parts, and storage. One day when I was not there he did come back, harassing my worker and even some customers. I called him and told him not to come back to the shop. He asked for $600 back, I told him no and here we are. Sincerely, Safety First Auto Repair & Care
