I bought a 2014 dodge charger r/t on march 20th 2022 from safford of Warrenton for $15,000. They never told me that the vehicle warranty was $12,500, also paint protection for $2,000 and something else for $1,500. Basically doubling the price of the car. It's kbb price is $7,800 they oversold for $15k and doubled it to $29,697.68 for the payoff. It was electronically done so I never got told these prices or even shown. They acted all nice and then screwed me in the end. Resolution Sought I would like the payoff amount to be greatly reduced like it should have been. Other dealerships I've called and told have said it should have only came out to be $17k or 18k payoff. This is ridiculous how they did this to me. I'm a first time buyer still new to all this and never wanted to be backstabbed.

Company Response

Company's letter states: Customer purchased the 2014 Dodge Charger from us on 03/20/2022 at our online internet price as advertised. He and his mother were given options in the business office that were optional that they voluntarily took advantage of. These were not conditions of the sale and were selected by the clients as part of their purchase. I have included screenshots of where the clients have opted for the coverage and signed off on the 'deal review' prior to consummating their purchase. We would not be able to reduce the payoff amount to the amount requested by the client as they decided to purchase the items that are amounting to their current payoff balance that is being disputed.
