My car was in an accident on 10/08/24 and due to the accident my car was towed by Sawyers Towing and my car went to their lot. The tow truck driver is seen on the Sharonville Police Department body cam the key handed to the tow truck driver. I went to the car with my Daughter Izabela Baer and her boyfriend Robert Lawson and we cleaned out the personal belongings in the car. The key was NOT in the car at that time. I came back down to the lot because I had forgotten some stuff out of the car and the key was NOT in the car. I noticed the sun roof opened and I was going to shut it but no key. I contacted Sawyers and advised no key. He said let me look through the tow truck and around my office and home and see if I can find it. Told me not to worry something would come up. After a week of calling and being told no I have not found it yet I have some more places to look. After a week of that Sawyers received a message from me telling him that the key is $200 to have one cut from the VIN but I did not have that kind of money to pay since I was not the last one with the key. The car was in his possession and he had the key the day of the accident I feel that he is responsible for paying for a new key. He told me today that he is not responsible for anything personal missing out of the car. The key is part of the car and it was lost in their lot. He said he would not pay for the key. I do not feel that I should be responsible for buying a new key that he lost. Resolution Sought The tow truck driver from Sawyers should be responsible to get a new key since it was lost while the car was in his possession
