The landlord did illegal stuff to get paid for rent instead of receiving money.

The landlord did illegal stuff to get paid for rent instead of receiving money. He never had a written lease, we had a verbal agreement and we paid him each month . He was also receiving other stuff beside cash for rent which was illegal. After his wife found out, I was told I need to move out and got 30 day notice saying after 30 days we will receive a eviction, but we never did. So, after the 30 days he turned the power off without letting us know. He was doing illegal stuff in order for people to live in his rental properties. I would like for the owner to lose his license.
