I was first in contact with Seiko power company in January asking for service at 28148 hibiscus in Paisley Florida Lake County Florida for this was the new property that I just signed lease for they said they needed driver's license information a sign notarized copy of my lease and an inspection of the leaner can when I got all that information and I took it to the office in person they made their copies and then once again I emailed them asking what else they needed I guess somewhere down the line somebody before me the occupant before me I stole electric from them and there was a past due balance abruptly 3300$ I've done a little bit of research and I saw that on the stat Florida statute that states that electric company cannot deny you power or withhold power from you because of the past tenants bill I don't understand why I'm being charged or they want me to pay for a past tense bill when it should not be on me now I did pay for the meter can to get inspected you know I'm willing to pay you know the deposit or whatnot that they need but I'm not willing to pay for a previous tenants bill so now the place is sitting there I've been paying on it for 4 months now and I still haven't been able to move into it because there's no power I complain to the better Business bureau but they never responded to the better Business bureau and I don't know what else to do or who else to turn to for help if there's anything that you could do to help me get this resolved. Resolution Sought I would just like to get power in my name and have my own bill to pay for not somebody else's.
