On 6/25/24 my AC went out, they came out sent a contractor, he stated I have a freon leak, which caused the unit to stop, he stated they don't cover that, it cost me $9000 for a new unit. Then on 8/4/25 my second claim, my garage would not close, I called my handyman, they could not fix it, it needs to be repaired. I called Select Home Warranty; I asked them to send someone because I could not get out of my garage. They sent someone he gave me estimates of 500-1900, I told him I just wanted the same unit it would cost 1800 and they would pay 195 of the cost. I told them I was going to get a couple of more estimates. Another tech came, he quoted me 1000-I called Select Home Warranty and told them I was going to go with this quote, and they denied my claim because they stated I had repairs done prior to authorization. But in the warranty, it states if they don't respond quickly, I can make a decision for repairs. They waited 5 days to respond; it was an emergency I could not get out of my garage. This is the second time they are denying a claim. Resolution Sought To cover the repairs

I've had select as my home warranty company for several years now. When I had a garbage disposal claim I was supposed to pay a $75 service fee and have the issue fixed. Instead I was told to pay for the new unit and repair out of pocket ($275). When my ac unit went out they denied a repair, so again I paid out of pocket. Now the repair for a covered part is $650, but they will only cover $150. This is after being told by their representative that if I have the technician that they deal with come back and confirm the diagnosis they'd honor the policy. Again I paid that technician out of my own pocket. I've paid the $47 a month for years now only for them to not want to help me. They have been nothing but a scam. Resolution Sought I would like to be reimbursed for my garbage disposal cost and honor my ac repair.
