Recently, my air conditioning outdoor unit ceased functioning during an extreme heatwave. Upon the arrival of a technician, it was determined that both the run capacitor and hard start needed replacement, and that the unit was low on refrigerant coolant. However, when the technician commenced work, I was informed that my claim was denied due to the refrigerant clause specified in the contract. As per the contract, Section 9.1.2 states that coverage does not extend to systems or appliances that require repair as a result of "failure to properly maintain," which the company cited as the basis for the denial of my claim. The technician attempted to clarify that the issues present were not solely related to refrigerant levels, yet the claim was still denied. He further indicated that low refrigerant levels would not directly damage the run capacitor or hard start kit, expressing his confusion regarding the unusual nature of the warranty I had purchased. Following the technician's advice, I contacted Select Home Warranty to seek resolution. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was unhelpful, and when I requested to escalate the matter to a manager, I was informed that a call would need to be scheduled for a later time. As a result of this situation, I was forced to incur an out-of-pocket expense of $500 for the technician's visit. I consider Select Home Warranty to be a misleading service provider. The company refuse to cancel my warranty. It was auto deducted. In Gebruray the request was made to cancel. Female representative assured me she would take care of the problem. That didn't happen. I've called and emailed 2times since February making the same request to cancel. Their delay is costing me $40 a month. I am asking for reimbursement of $120.00 ($40x3 months since the request was initially made). Than you Resolution Sought Reimburse my money
