I went to the shop asking if they could repair my brakes. They promised they could. They did not and a part was put in my car from the dump yard for cars and did not have the vin number that matched my car. They kept my only vehicle for a couple of weeks waiting for that part. They called and said it was repaired but I would have to take it to another repair shop they picked themselves to fix the problems they could not. I could not take my car unless I paid them the $1320.99 they said I owed. I took it to the other repair shop and they said they could not fix it. They referred me to a Mazda dealer in Eugene, Oregon to do the work. I called the Mazda dealership and they didn't know if they could fix it because of the non-matching junk yard part and non-matching vin number. They also told me it would be dangerous to drive the car to Eugene, Oregon from Roseburg and could not guarantee the brakes would work driving close to 2 hours on the freeway. This has been going on since the end of December, 2021 and my car is still not fixed. There is a shop in Roseburg that told me they could fix the problem. Shaun's Lube refuses to pay another shop in town but will pay the Mazda dealership in Eugene for the repair they said they could do but cannot do. I am a 78 year old female widow. The shoddy work they said they could do was not the truth. I trusted them but they took advantage of this, lied to me and put me in debt, taking more advantage by not paying a local shop for real repair. Resolution Sought Get a refund of $1319.51 from Shawn's Lube. They are not truthful nor capable to repair my vehicle.

Ms. Person came into our shop in Nov. 2021 asking if we could fix her brakes. Her brakes were squealing when she hit the brake pedal. We did a free brake inspection and she needed front brakes, a brake flush, and a rear brake (clean and adjust). After doing the brakes, we noticed her ABS light stayed on. We thought she had a bad master cylinder so we replaced it. The ABS light still stayed on. We couldn't diagnose the issue, so took it to Mobile Tune. They told us it needed ABS Hydraulic Control Unit. The Dealership in Eugene OR told us they couldn't get that part anymore along with all the parts stores in town. It is not available for that year and make of car. We went to the wrecking yard and they had one. We were told to have it programmed to the car. We installed the part and referred her to Lithia Ford in Rosenburg. They informed her that they couldn't program it and that she needed to take it to the Mazda dealership in Eugene Or. In April 2022, Ms. Person came back into our shop asking for a total refund. We told her to take it to the Mazda dealership to get it programmed and she refused. We let her know we did work on her car that absolutely needed to be done and couldn't give her a total refund. With this being the case, we are willing to refund the total of $899.00 for the parts she didn't need or didn't fix the problem. I'm sending the original invoice with parts and labor outlined that didn't resolve the problem. Everything else was needed on her car. The total came to $999.00 and we had given her a 10% discount equaling $899.00. It's unfortunate, but we don't have a Mazda Dealership in Roseburg, OR. I wish we could have resolved this for Ms. Person.
