I originally considered joining for the free trial at shawacademy.com. I did not finish signing up for the trial because I knew that I would forget to cancel the trial before my account was charged. Shortly after not finishing my registration I was contacted by a member of the Shaw academy team who reassured me that she would contact me well before my account was charged to ask me if I wanted to cancel my subscription. No such call was ever made to me when it came time for my account to be charged it was charged $69.99 and I requested a refund the company has told me that I cannot receive a refund because my canceling of my subscription happened after my free trial was over even though they were supposed to notify me before my trial was over like they told me they would. Now they're refusing to refund my money after they've lied to me and misled me in order to take my funds. Resolution Sought A refund of 69.99.

We are sorry to hear about your experience and inconvenience caused to you. We have reviewed your account and found that you had subscribed to 28-day free trial after which payment would be made. All aspects of this were made clear at registration, within your member's area and via communications. Since you did not cancel during your trial period, payment was processed as per the terms and conditions associated with your membership. We have already stopped the auto renewal and processed the refund on Nov 17, 2021. If you have still not received it, kindly check with your bank for the same.

I signed up for a course at Shaw Academy online and followed up with a call. I repeatedly told the operator I would not immediately be interested in the classes as I am moving. She stated I would not be charged anything until I began the course. Now Shaw Academy is refusing to refund my money. Resolution Sought My money back
