I set an appointment over the phone in February to diagnose a water leak in my vehicle and to fix my window. I asked if I needed to pay two diagnostic fees, they said they would only charge one. Upon arrival, they attempted to charge two. After paying for the 200$ diagnostic they approached and said it was actually a 500$ diagnostic for "water damage". They ended up not running the diagnostic and "fixing" the issue I told them it was. I believed the tail light to have been damaged. They charged me 470$ to fix the tail light. The next week my car was still retaining water in the trunk. They assured me the cause was a damaged fuel center housing, I paid $810 for them to fix that. They claimed to have disposed of the original piece when I requested to view it. I still had water damage. I returned a third time, and NOW they claim there is a damaged filter and will require another 300$. I pay for the "fix" after their service assistant assures me again this will fix the problem. Two weeks later and my back seat floor boards are again doused with water. Their business practices are nothing short of predatory. Between quoting wrong prices to their service techs working on commissions to be influenced to gouge the public at any chance they can. Resolution Sought I want the public to know how inept Shepard Volkswagen is at maintenance for vehicles they are supposed to be proficient at fixing. Best case scenario they refund me for the extraneous work done on my vehicle and pay for detailing to be done to remedy any damages done by long term water damage.
