Unauthorized charges to insurance!!
I had an eye appointment on 3/5/2024 at store on 5100 N 27th St Lincoln, Ne. The doctor was great. As I was deciding on which glasses to get the person helping me said I could get insurance in case they break. I told her I did not want that and I had been wearing glasses since I was in 7th grade and had only broken my glasses once. The subject was not discussed again. I was told the glasses would be ready in a week. When I got home and looked at the documentation I saw there was a charge for insurance. And, there was no copy of the prescription. I called the store about the prescription. I was told they did not give them out as people threw them away and there was HEPA info on it. I was told I could get a copy if I asked for it when I came to the store. When a week passed and I had not received a call about the glasses being ready I called the store. I was told they would be there Friday. I finally received a call on the following Monday saying they were ready. I went into the store to get the glasses 3/19/2024. I asked to speak with the manager. I explained my concerns. Manager was very respectful. She gave me a credit for the unauthorized charge for insurance, She gave me a copy of the prescription. She said the wait for glasses is 1 - 2 weeks. She gave me some glass cleaner, etc. for my inconvenience. My concerns have been delt with. I just want to let people know what happened to me so they will be aware and not let it happen to them.
