My husband and I frequent Skymart on 552 E 152nd street because we live close to the place and they are sometimes the only place open in the area (being a 24 hour store). However, since we have been going to the store, we have witnessed much odd behavior and bad customer service, and thought to reach out and report it. None of the prices are marked in the store and because of that, over time most of the cashiers started to make up prices as they went along. For instance, we have been charged three dollars for a 2 gallon juice and then four for the very same item a few days later. But, after we paid the higher price, we were once again charged three. The price seemed to go up or down depending on the cashier and prices of almost every item changed all the time like this. We were told Ramen there was $4.99 (and paid this price once or twice) and found it absurd so I told the manager- he turned around and told the workers- the price was $1.89 for an item like this. And because no problems are ever resolved in a customer's favor, there was no reason to think we would get our money back for these charges. We don't shop there as often now, after realizing what was going on with the price differences depending on the worker. It took time to notice these things but when your primary transportation is the bus, you don't always want to go far for small items and end up shopping close to home- and that is the reason we were always at this store. Rather than get our money. Resolution Sought Mark the prices of items in their store, on or below the products.
