Was a tenant for about 8 months rented 2 units with my girlfriend 1 in my name 1 in hers, we both got evicted for staying past 10pm closing and reason we stayed was due to someone trying to break into our units and one was actually broken into ,several break ins, vandalism, robberies with other units gta's and Smartstop never contacted owners to let them know what was going on yet knew who was responsible for doing it. We were given only 2 weeks to rent a truck to clear out 2 full units when we should have been given 1 month and still billed me 205.00. Ouf units were red locked and couldn't get our things out and Smartstop had haulers pick up our belongings and threw it away like trash. Never delinquent with our payments was always on time. Smartstop stole from us we are outraged! We were treated unfairly Tequila was horrible to us always judged us we never felt welcomed Derek the district manager is uneducated never introduced himself properly just told us we got evicted and we had to. leave property immediately. Smartstop is up to no good false advertising no manager lives on property Resolution Sought We want compensation for our things they got rid of or our things back and not get billed

I recently had my items auctioned aggressively without the company taking Covid and inflation into consideration. Before I could negotiate how to properly pay my debt, remove and discontinue my services, with the company, the company auctioned all of my belongings, before the month was over. I was accruing interest that was extremely larger than my monthly fee. I feel that I was treated with insensitivity, and not given the chance to handle this debt appropriately. I had over $10,000.00 worth of items in one of the largest units. I had birth certificates, social security cards, and a host of personal filing with in this unit. I am now worried about possible identity theft. I have been paying for a hotel, and I have given the hotel close to 10,000.00 I tried to explain my situation and plan the appropriate course of action to pay my debt and end services. This further devastates me during the covid crisis. Resolution Sought Reimbursement.
