There was a crediting malfunction that caused more credits than were generated to be applied to your account on a monthly basis, however, they did not populate on the bill correctly, resulting in one or both of the following scenarios: 1. The over credited amount eventually became higher than the balance of the bill, resulting in a "Zero bill" (which some people received and saw only taxes, and some people didn't receive a bill at all for a number of months) 2. There is an amount of banked credits on the RGE side that equals the reversal amount either in full, or if you add up the entire amount credited over the months of your enrollment and it is less than that, the remaining banked credits should make up the difference. Either way, you aren't on the hook for the credits. In the worst case scenario you will be on the hook for what your electric bill should have been anyway. This has gone way above my paygrade, so the brass here at Source, the PSC, RGE/NYSEG, and probably the County are having a meeting early next week and a resolution will come down. I do believe it will favor the customer, and the customer is who we are arguing for. The end result of this should be customer +5, the 5 you saved from your solar credits.
