Septic tank was installed January 17.2022, , had to be pumped out 3x since( every 2 month), 1 leach line installed none functioning, tank installed backwards. Had to call another business to install proper 3 line leach system .Had to pay someone else to haul off dirt that was dug up from septic tank and left. To this day I have paid a total of $ 8350 for this septic system Resolution Sought Since I paid a premium price to get a septic tank and leach system installed and their failure to deliver I should be at least reimbursed for having the proper leach system installed $2490.00

Company Response

The customer contacted my company because she was having issues with her septic tank backing up. My company went out the her residence and replaced the tank and added new drain lines as we priced the customer. We installed 3 new lines of drain line and a new 1000 gallon tank. The customer was told at the time of the repair that due to her plumbing stub out from the house being so deep the drain lines would be deep in the ground which probably wouldn’t work well. I advised the customer that her yard was a wet area and she may need a pump system so the drain lines wouldn’t be so deep. The customer did not want to spend the extra money at the time and said she would give it a try. I also told the customer the dirt was to wet to level back out at the time and I would come back when it dried out with another machine to level it better which was done about two weeks later. I told the customer to call me if she had any questions or problems and I would come back out. I have not once since the repair received a phone call, text message, or email from the Customer since the job was completed. The customer has not communicated with my company at all until this complaint was filed. My company would of be glad to come back out and take care of any issues the customer was having if we were aware of them but we can’t fix something we don’t know about. My company would be happy to help the customer in any way we can but we were not aware of any issues or problems.

Customer Rebuttal

1 line was put in less than 100 feet long, the above pumping system that was mentioned if the system does not work was quoted at an additional $5000 cost , , I stated I did not have that kind of money.Since the leveling of the dirt only accomplished spreading around the mounds unevenly and lumpy instead of taking away access dirt in the first place, it became clear , how little customer care was envolved..My husband was so upset that I could not get him to agree to call back someone that was more interested in selling us another pricey system.

Company Final Response

We installed a 9 ft wide by 50 ft long line which is 150 ft of drain line as you were quoted. The reason for it being one wide shorter line was due to set backs. You have to stay 25 ft from a ditch which you have in your front yard and you have to stay 5 ft from the property line so this is the reason for the wider shorter line. If you had problems or issues with anything all you had to do was call and let us know, not go on a website to complain 7 months later without ever giving my company a chance to fix what you were unhappy with that we weren’t even aware of. My company takes pride in our work and goes above and beyond to make sure our customers are happy but we can’t do that when we were never contacted.
