Today, we received a pair of little girl's underpants in the mail. I felt astonishment, shock and gut-wrenching nausea. The insensitivity of this group (Native American Children's Fund) using this item of personal children's clothing for fundraising is shocking. We are a family who has had sexual abuse issues and for these items to be used to drum-up charity money is mind- numbingly stupid and hurtful to families across the nation who received these. They (NACF) could have used gloves, socks, a scarf anything but girl's underpants. That is simply sick, depraved and perverse. Someone has to stop them from doing this again to hurt other families. We are so hurt and disgusted that someone in marketing would think this is a good idea. Shame on them. Then, as a donor - we were expected to mail in money AND RETURN the underwear! Then, the underwear would be used for another customer to raise more money! How many other people have touched these underpants. Sickening. Gross, Deviant. Now, we have to deal with more sadness again. Terrible. Resolution Sought STOP MAILING CHILDREN S UNDERWEAR TO RAISE MONEY. it is stunning that we even have to have such a discussion.
