The experience at Sovereign Health has made a tremendous impact upon my life in the sense that I found coping skills, have gained them throughout my entire stay here and have learned how to implement them into my life. It is not a superficial program; I received a lot of information out of it.
In the cognitive therapy program, I learned a lot because it definitely helps with being able to sort your thoughts and how to act upon them. If we acted upon our thoughts as they came, I honestly don’t think it would be pretty.

My advice to others is not to be scared. Everybody is here because they went wrong somewhere in their life; everybody is here for a reason. Dive in when you come into the program and introduce yourself to other people. Start to make fellowship out of the group around you because you are going to be seeing them for at least a month. You might as well bond with the people around you.

If you really want to get sober, Sovereign Health is the place to be. You get a sense of being free, and it is a home away from home. They definitely take you in, nurture you until you can get back on your feet and go on into the real world again.
