High Quality Work and Excellent Customer Service

I was referred to Special K Painting through Home Depot's pro-referral website, to paint the outside front walkways and porches of my historic duplex in Oakland. Kevin promptly returned my request, drove by the property and gave me a detailed price quote for the time and materials he recommended. His team arrived promptly and completed the work faster than estimated. High quality, competitive pricing and great customer service. Highly recommend Kevin and Special K Painting. July 2018.

Unprofessional and unethical painting 'business'

Avoid doing business with Special K, which isn't actually a legal registered business entity. I had hired him to paint the interiors, all along the way he fought over every detail trying to charge more money even though everything had been discussed beforehand. Not only is this a bad experience for the customer, it set the tone for the constant attempts at cutting corners. He hires other painters and is not even on site to manage them, which led to them incorrectly painting an area the wrong color. The job went over the planned time, and on completion he lazily threw out all of the trash in my building's compost bin on the way out leading to many issues with building management. Strongly recommend against hiring this so-called business, a seemingly competitive initial bid ends up not being worth the headaches.
