Upon purchasing the timeshare, my wife and I were assured by the salesman that we would have the flexibility to book stays at various Spinnaker Resorts locations, beyond our initial visits to Branson, MO, and Hilton Head, NC. Regrettably, this has not been our experience. Despite multiple attempts to book a week in Florida, we were consistently informed that we could only utilize our timeshare at our home resort in Branson, MO. This restriction was never communicated to us during the sales meeting and directly contradicts the promises made by your sales representative. As retirees, we had hoped that investing in a timeshare would enhance our travel experiences. However, the reality has been quite the opposite. The cost of our limited use—amounting to more than $9,100 for just over a week and a half of stay—has proven to be an exorbitant financial burden. We have come to realize that we could have enjoyed extended stays at various hotels with greater flexibility and without the added worry of ongoing maintenance fees. We feel that we were not only misled but also trapped in a contract that does not align with the expectations set by your sales team. This experience has been deeply disappointing and has led to a substantial waste of our financial resources. Resolution Sought We want the immediate cancellation of our timeshare ownership and confirmation from Spinnaker Resorts of this closure.

We are extremely frustrated with our experience trying to cancel our timeshare ownership with Spinnaker Resorts. After reaching out to them, we received a response from Noelani Castro informing us that our HOA dues were past due, which made us ineligible for cancellation. We asked for the amount of these fees and were shocked to learn they were around $9,000. We responded to Noelani, explaining that these fees are too high for us to pay and requested information on other options. However, we have yet to receive any response. We simply cannot afford to pay such a large amount, but we urgently need to cancel our timeshare. We currently hold two contracts with the French Quarters. When we first purchased, the maintenance fees were a manageable $300 per year. Now, they have skyrocketed to over $1800 per year per contract. This is an unsustainable burden for us, especially considering that my wife is disabled and I am nearing retirement. Resolution Sought We are hoping for a response from Spinnaker Resorts with a more feasible option for cancellation for us. We simply can not pay the requested amount, but need this matter resolved.
