Hello, on 10/10/2023 I completed a contract for the above mentioned company to ship my 2008 Honda crv from new Cumberland to Tampa Florida for the agreed amount of $400.00 dollars. On the date it was to be picked up for shipping 10/14/2023 I received a call from the company representative, Edmond stating that I would now have to pay $1,200.00 because the price was increased. I reminded him of the signed contract for $400.00 and that it was a "bait and switch " tactic he's trying to use on me which is illegal. He then proceeded to try and haggle with me finally stating the car can be shipped for $950.00. I refused. Because of this I was forced to cancel my one way trip to Florida with United Airlines and drive the vehicle to Florida myself. I was caused great inconvenience and distress in doing so and that is why I am filing a complaint. I have a copy of the shipping contract available for review. Please look into this matter so that other customers will not be duped by this company. Their website is www. spireautoshipping.com and the phone number is (415)520 7496.
