I purchased a brand new 2022 Chevrolet Malibu on Dec 6, 2022. I was sold Guaranteed Asset Protection for $1200.00 and a New and Pre-owned vehicle service contract for $2151.00. I was never told these items were optional, as they were already included in the price and stack of paperwork presented to me. I have Gap insurance through my personal insurance. It states on the Gap insurance paperwork from the dealership that the coverage can be cancelled at any time. The vehicle service contract was never presented to me as a Extended Warranty at the time of purchase, which I feel is a deceptive practice. If the finance person had stated it is a Extended warranty, I would have declined right away. I don't need to purchase a extended warranty on a brand new car. On the Chevrolet website , www.chevrolet.com>protect, it states the vehicle service contract can be purchased at the time of purchase or any time up to 8 years and you may CANCEL at any time. I sent a written letter to Spitzer in December via certified mail , requesting cancellation of the Gap Insurance and Vehicle service contract effective December 14, 2022, exactly 9 days after purchase. I requested written confirmation of the cancellation within 30 days. As of today, I have had No response from the dealership. I also sent letters requesting cancellation to GM Financial, Hilton Claims Administration (GAP), and First Extended Service Corporation (extended warranty). I have had No response. I was not given the options. Resolution Sought I would like a full refund of Hilton Gap insurance of $1200.00 and a full refund of the vehicle service contract of $2151.00.

Company states; I talk to her husband and told him everything could be canceled that they just needed to sign the paperwork. I have never heard back from her which he said that she would have to give me a call.
