I rented a storage space for my utility trailer. I signed the lease in March 13, 2023 and have paid on the storage every month since . On Aug. 21, 2023 I went to the storage unit to check on my trailer. When I arrived at my designated space, my trailer was not there, but instead a junked car was there. When I confronted the manager she stated that she was not the person who rented us the space, that it was Brian Clark the manager who is now no longer with the company. This manager against his company policy rented us this space without getting the proper documentation from us on the trailer. Unfortunately I had no idea that I should provide them with registration information on the trailer. I m being told that because they have no record of the trailer being registered to me there is nothing that they can do , and we need to file a police report. The officer that helped us discovered that the company had our car towed, and towed it under the description of the junked car that was now in our space. Ultimately the officer reveled that between the tow company and the storage facility, they towed our trailer and then double booked our space and collected rent from us and pocketed our money and only recorded the other person's payments. We had no notice from the management that our vehicle was no longer on the property, and they still collected 3 Mos. of rent from us before we noticed. They will not refund the month's of rent paid for non existent propert. Resolution Sought Acknowledge our complaint, and refund us for the three months of rent that they charged us when they knew they had already towed our trailer.
