I'm reaching out to request help with our Stormy Point Village timeshare, which we originally purchased through Summer Winds. We've made multiple attempts to resolve this directly with the timeshare company but feel like we are getting nowhere. They insist on only discussing things over the phone, which has been incredibly stressful for us, and now they haven't even followed through on their promise to call us back. From the start, we've dealt with misleading promises. We were told the points system would meet our needs and that we could rent out our unit to offset some of the costs. None of this was true. We were also told that certified letters were sent to help us refinance, but there's no proof these letters were ever sent. Instead, we were persuaded to upgrade under the claim that it would solve our issues, but that turned out to be more false promises. The resort situation has only made things worse. Since we can't travel far, we've relied on the Branson location, but its quality has noticeably declined over the years. Management doesn't seem to care about maintaining the property. Once, we were even sent to stay at a rundown motel downtown because the resort didn't have availability. That motel has since been condemned and demolished, which shows how bad the situation was. Beyond all this, the financial strain caused by this timeshare has been devastating. It's prevented us from being able to handle urgent medical needs. We've explained our struggles to Resolution Sought We just want to be out of this whole thing. We don't want this timeshare and hope that we can get someone to work with us.

We apologize if the Brooks family’s experience with Capital Vacations did not meet their expectations. On June 20, 2025, we attempted to reach the Brooks family, but we were unable to connect with them. Agents of Capital Vacations have communicated with the Brooks family on multiple occasions about the requirements for exiting their contract. The Brooks family state in their complaint that they requested their contract be cancelled. It was explained to the Brooks family that they would need to pay their loan in full, pay any outstanding maintenance fees, Club Dues and Facility Fee, and pay the required exit fee; however, the Brooks family did not want to pay the requisite fees and balances and, therefore, we are denying their request for cancellation. The Brooks family should be aware that their loan will continue to accrue interest and shall remain liable for the debt. The Brooks family also complains they were told they could rent out their points to meet their needs. While CV does offer a rental program whereby its owners may rent out their timeshare interests, it does not make any representations or guarantees with respect thereto. Additionally, the Club Plan Multi-Site Public Offering Statement (“MPOS”) which was given to the Brooks family at the time of their purchase, as indicated on the Receipt for Timeshare Documents form to which they signed, includes several disclosures that when purchasing timeshare interests the purchaser is acknowledging that they are not purchasing with the expectation that any profit derived from renting their Capital Points will cover the costs of Club Dues or Common Assessment fees. Please encourage the Brooks family to reach out to Financial Services at (833) 849-0301, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., to discuss their account and potential settlement options.

We are writing to express our dissatisfaction and utter disbelief at the settlement offer of $24,267.93 that was presented by a Capital representative named Rhonda regarding the cancellation of our timeshare. We must say this offer is not only unacceptable but also completely absurd, considering that my family and I have only used the timeshare once. We have been attempting to cancel it for the past four years, during which we have been met with nothing but resistance and obstruction, making it unfathomable how this company justifies such an outrageous financial demand on a total balance of $42,827.01 for something that has brought us no joy or benefit, only constant frustration, and disappointment. We are also baffled by the lack of empathy and understanding from Capital about our situation and simply want to be free from this burden!! We absolutely cannot let this matter rest as it stands because our family deserves a fair and reasonable solution that not only acknowledges the limited use and prolonged cancellation attempts but also takes into account the emotional and financial distress this has caused us over the years. Capital needs to reassess this situation with a sense of urgency and provide an offer that truly reflects our circumstances and the hardships we have endured. We expect a prompt, compassionate, and satisfactory resolution to this issue, and I am looking forward to an immediate response, as this matter is of great concern to us and cannot be delayed. Resolution Sought We want Capital Vacations to close our account and provide us with reasonable options to do so.
