I have a timeshare ownership with Stormy Point Village, which is managed by Capital Vacations. In February, I received confirmation from Capital Vacations that they had canceled my timeshare contract with them. However, I still had a contract with Stormy Point Village. They gave me an email to reach out to for that contract, which I did. Following this email, I was given Janine Jilliland's information to contact at Capital Vacations to assist me. I have emailed her multiple times and called her. At this point, my emails and calls won't go through. The only conclusion I can come to is that I have been blocked. It is very frustrating that this is who Capital pointed me to reach out to for help in getting my Stormy Point contract canceled, but I can not get any response. This is even more reason for me to want to be rid of this ownership. Resolution Sought I want Capital Vacations to respond to me with information on cancelling my Stormy Point contract.

I think the root of this problem is that I was told at the beginning that her name was Jilliland. I now realize it is Gilliland. She called me and has sent me the paperwork to close this out.

My spouse and I have encountered significant challenges in our dealings with Capital Vacations/Stormy Point Village. Despite our persistent efforts spanning several years to convey our decision to end our ownership and the underlying issues prompting it, we have faced hurdles at every juncture. Initially, engaging with the company during a sales presentation in Branson, we were approached by three sales representatives who hastily rushed through their pitch. They promised to waive the first three years of maintenance fees due to our Roark Resort ownership, only to later bill us for these fees. The vacation booking options offered by the company have proven to be notably limited. The level of "service" provided by this company falls significantly short of the anticipated value based on our payments and their ongoing demands. We stand firm in our position, adamantly demanding the complete termination of this ownership burden from our lives. Despite our continued efforts to communicate with the company over the past year through various channels, including emails and complaints filed with organizations like the Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, and the American Resort Development Association, we have been met with silence on their part, except for the recurring invoices. It is truly astounding that a company can operate with such disregard for service quality while insisting on additional payments. Resolution Sought Our patience has waned, and we are resolute in our decision to sever all connections with this company and promptly terminate our ownership. Could you please help us with this issue?
