I bought a furnace only 4 years ago from Streitz. I turned it on recently and nothing happened. Called the company, sent a repair guy. I knew l would be paying the service call (just over $100) and all parts were under warranty. I was shocked when he finished and handed me a bill for $814. He said something about having to pay half the cost of the parts as the labor charge. How was l supposed to know the cost of their parts? I figured the service call and not much else for charges. Shocked to say the least! Can you help me? Resolution Sought When l complained to the manager, first he said he'd give me 20 off one of the parts. $55.00. Not enough l said. He came back with a counter offer, where they would issue a $325 check to me to offset the bill.

In response to the customer complaint, we had a mutual agreement over the phone to refund $323.50. Once the customer's original check cleared the bank, we issued a check (#6972) for the agreed upon amount on 10/30/24. The customer then cashed the check on 11/05/24 and it cleared our bank on 11/06/24. As far as I know, this complaint has been resolved.
