We are seeking your assistance regarding ongoing issues with Capital. Despite repeated efforts to resolve matters directly, they continue to mislead and frustrate us, leaving us feeling trapped and exploited. When we signed up, Capital misrepresented maintenance fees. We explicitly asked about yearly upgrades and were falsely assured there would not be significant increases. Unfortunately, this was only the start of their deceptive behavior. They constantly push us to attend meetings claiming to teach us how to use our points. Instead, these sessions are high-pressure sales pitches, urging us to buy more points or upgrade, despite our clear refusal. Their customer service is equally poor, with questions dodged or directed to an unhelpful 1-800 number. Every interaction with their representatives seems to result in account errors, causing even more confusion and stress. Resolution Sought All we want now is to exit the timeshare and move on. However, they are demanding additional fees just for us to leave. This isn't reasonable—we're not asking for anything other than the chance to walk away without incurring more costs.

I would like to formally file a complaint against Capital Vacations regarding our Stormy Point timeshare. Despite repeated efforts to cancel due to financial hardship and personal circumstances, the company has been uncooperative. When purchasing the timeshare, we were misled into believing we were buying a deeded cottage and could use it anytime. Instead, we discovered our usage week is in January or February, when we cannot travel due to farm responsibilities—a fact undisclosed during the sales process. We were also falsely assured that upgrading to a four-bedroom unit would make the property easier to resell, only to find reselling is nearly impossible. Our financial situation has deteriorated drastically due to ongoing droughts, declining crop prices, and rising farming costs. At the same time, the $1,100 monthly timeshare cost is unsustainable. Additionally, health challenges, including my husband's multiple surgeries, make travel unrealistic. Despite explaining these issues, Capital Vacations refuses to cancel the contract, showing no compassion for our financial and health struggles. We feel trapped in an agreement that no longer aligns with our needs or financial capacity. We request the Better Business Bureau's assistance in canceling our timeshare contract without further financial obligation, which we believe is a reasonable solution given our circumstances.
