Sunpower and their bankruptcy and lack of urgency has caused me to fall out of escrow in the sale of my house costing me a lot of money and forcing me to find new buyers only to have to deal with the possibility of falling out of escrow for a third time. This is unacceptable they should have already had a solution put in place knowing what they would have to deal with these things prior to even filing bankruptcy. Resolution Sought Forfeit their lease on my panels as they have cost me tons out on the sale of my home twice now and I can't afford to lose a third time because of their negligence to a situation they were well aware of months ago and did nothing to ensure their customers would suffer.

I'm a first time homeowner and I have solar panels installed I knew I needed a new roof and was awaiting the right time to get one when I got the funds being that I didn't have it right away and I had just brought a house the solar reps came and pitched me solar panels and I told them that I needed a new roof and that my roof was over 28 yrs old and asked if it was ok for the solar panels to be on my roof since it was to old and I also asked if I was to get a new roof would they remove them for free and they both replied yes my mom told me not to until I get the new roof but they insured us that oh we will remove them free of charge when u get the new roof so I went ahead and got the solar they told me they will be going on the back of my roof because of my huge pine tree I asked why can't you just cut the tree down they said u have a lot of sun light that hit the back of the house so most of them will go on the back and a couple in the front away from the huge pine tree I thought ok I really didn't know anything about solar panels but they did say that when the solar installers come they will determine if the roof is good to put the panels on because I kept asking about if it was ok to put it on my old roof when the solar company came to install they called me and said that they deemed my roof capable of getting solar It's been almost a yr and I called to have the solar removed and they said it's 8600 and u told them what the rep told me and I havealeakinmyroifduetosolar Resolution Sought I would like them to remove the solar panels free of charge like I was told so that I can get my new roof most solar companies pitch a new roof or cut a tree down they didn't pitch anything but the solar panels.

Consumer states; The company did not do what they said I'm still getting the run around and my walls and roof are getting worse on top of that I'm paying to get my roof replaced and they agreed to take the solar panels off now I'll have to come up with more money to try and get the damages fixed due to them not coming to take the panels off when they said they would now I want them to pay for my new roof and the damages since the solar panels are the cause of my walls and roof being damaged.
