Six years ago I got solar panels with Sunrun Solar. At the time there were no backup batteries to the panels in the North East, so it left us totally dependent on the grid. They now have backup batteries for power outage, but they only go to new customers. The people who already have solar have no battery backup and there is no effort by Sunrun to retrofit us with the backup battery. This is so unfair since we are paying a fee just like the new customers, but does not get the same benefit and protection. What is the use of having solar panels and still be totally dependent on the grid? After numerous calls to Sunrun, they are unable to tell me when they expect to start retrofitting older customers like me. I have been told three different stories, none of which is fair to us older customers. Can you help me get an answer to this. Resolution Sought Retrofit old customers with backup batteries
