Brought a used 2010 Chevy Traverse on may 17, 2021 and returned on June 12, 2021. Check engine light was on at time of purchase. I was told it was a cam shaft sensor by sale person. So I purchased the cam sensors (136.97)and had them installed (150). Then the vehicle got where it was hard to steer. Took to a certified mechanic to see what the problem was. It needed control arms, linkage, and etc. Which Tabor Auto Sales paid for. I had to go out of town. While out of town, I carried the vehicle to a certified mechanic, cause the engine light was still on. Since I was going out of town, I had oil change (66.24),I transferred tags and paid sales taxes (876.75+19.89). While out of town, I carried the vehicle to a Chevy dealership and was told that it wasn't a sensor but the timing chain was bad and it would cost $2-3000 to fix. I called Tabor and was told to bring it back because they were not going to invest anymore money in it and they refused to replace it with another vehicle. I carried it back but they only gave me the value of my trade ($2000) in plus the ($2000) cash. I feel since they refused to replace the vehicle they should return all the money that I invested in it, since I returned the car within the 30 days. The state of Arkansas Revenue office does not refund Sales taxes. The total I feel that Tabor owes me is $1,294.85, I invested in their vehicle that they are going to pass on to someone else. Resolution Sought I want Tabor Auto Sales to refund the money I invested in their vehicle. All $1,294.85!.

Judy purchased the 2010 Chevy Traverse on May 17, 2021 with 110,959 miles. The day the vehicle was returned, it had 113,100 miles. She drove the vehicle 2,141 miles within 26 days. When she purchased the vehicle, she signed a "As Is, No Dealer Warranty". However, we worked with Judy and Tabor Auto Sales paid $1,433.06 to King Family Tire in Blytheville, AR to fix repairs that she requested to be fixed. On June 12th when she returned the traverse, Tabor Auto Sales returned her $4,000 ($2,000 down payment money & $2,000 for the vehicle she traded in) Other work she did on the vehicle, she did on her own and Tabor Auto did not authorize.Tabor Auto Sales tried to please Judy but nothing fixed her problem. The remaining money she wants back is the sales tax that she paid to the state of Arkansas on the vehicle which was paid at the local revenue department.

Customer Rebuttal

Tabor Auto Sales person, Mr. Logan said it was a sensor bad and that was why the check engine light was on. I was willing to have sensors since Logan said that was the problem. As I did and do with all the used vehicles I purchase, I have the company charged the oil or I have it changed. Tabor Auto Sales doesn't have a mechanic to do any of their repairs. It was my intention to keep the vehicle that is why I invested over $1200 in it.if I had known that it was the timing chain I wouldn't have driven it off the lot. If I was offered another vehicle then that would have been my lost, Tabor Auto Sales refused to give me another vehicle after I asked for one. Part of the miles that was put on the vehicle was from carrying it to the shop to have fixed, in an out of town, and getting the car back to Tabor at their request. If they had offered me another vehicle and I refused then that would be my lost but they refused after I asked. By law I have 30 days for a dealership to fix whatever problems I find wrong regardless, as long as it is within 30 days. They refused to fix it and they requested that I bring it back to Tabor Auto Sales. They owe me for the money I invested.
