Customer Complaint

I needed emergency cash assistance in May 2022 for a past due bill. I received service from Target Cash Now in which I was approved for $1400.00. My bi-weekly payments is in the amount of $238.40 in which I have paid way over the amount I have borrowed. Target Cash Now wants $4291.2 for a $1400.00 loan. I am now back in the same position I was before because the extensive payments of this high loan. The service is not helping anyone; but put people more into dept. My pay days are on Friday's only and remain the same even if a holiday lands on a Friday. I checked my accounts on 11/10/2022; in which it is not a payday; and discovered that Target Cash Now has deducted $238.40 which caused a major overdraft to my bank account. My original payday is on 11/11/2022. I don't understand why a payment was taken before the due date. I am disappointed at the service, and this put me in more debt. Resolution Sought I would like to disconnect from Target Cash Now! They have received more than enough money from a struggling person.

Dear Business Consumer Alliance: Target Cash Now is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint filed with the BCA. We take all comments, good or bad, very seriously. The following is our response to the items noted. First, we would like to take this opportunity to provide you with some background information on our company, its business practices, and our actions in response to our customer. Target Cash Now is committed to complying with the principles of federal consumer protection laws and regulations, as well as the laws of the Fort Belknap Indian Community. Target Cash Now discloses the total cost to a borrower if only the minimum payment schedule is followed, and we inform our customers that this is an expensive form of borrowing. The APR is disclosed on the Target Cash Now website and is prominently displayed in loan documents that are reviewed and signed by the customer. Second, a Target Cash Now Representative confirmed the application information with Lessie prior to signing the loan documents on April 27, 2022. Later that day, Leslie called back into our customer service department, acknowledged the loan terms, and signed the loan agreement. Among this acknowledgement of the loan terms is the loan amortization schedule. Third, we certainly understand that everyone faces financial difficulties from time-to-time, but the loan agreement signed by Leslie is legally binding. Thus, we have every right to expect payment as scheduled in the agreement. To date, Leslie has only made a partial repayment towards the total outstanding loan balance. Nevertheless, to amicably resolve this matter, Target Cash Now will settle Leslie's account for what has been paid, and we will consider this matter closed. This will be notated in Leslie's file, and we will block their identifying information in our system unless indicated otherwise by them in writing. We will be following up with Leslie with an email confirmation of this resolution. Correspondingly, Leslie, at their convenience, may call our customer service line, and they will be directed to a representative who can assist them with any additional questions. We hope this letter resolves your concerns. As noted above, Target Cash Now is subject to robust consumer protection requirements. We want to treat our customers well and ensure that they are pleased with our product. Thank you for the opportunity to respond. Respectfully, Target Cash Now

Would like to see if amount could be settled due to my recent surgery and missing time in work. Made an attempt to make payment arrangement. However I do not have over 100.00 to pay bi-weekly at this time. I understand that this is a high interest loan. However I have already paid a little over 1000 on my 550.00 loan. I have taken out 2 loans with company before and paid both off ok. However I'm asking for some type of settlement due to my hardship Resolution Sought Would like to see if amount could be settled due to my recent surgery and missing time in work.
