Customer Complaint
7/14/2025
I began a Contract with TaxRise in 2023, which layed dormant it seems, for months. My Fed Tax Bill was "negotiated" by TaxRise in the amount of $37,982.00 on May 28th, 2025, per letter from the IRS. TaxRise advised me of nothing. I was told via emial and Taped phone calls on my part, TAXRISE would negotiate my taxes substantially lower, however for months they did nothing. I have series of emails inquirying what was happening. At the latest, on May 27th, 2025, per documented emaiI, I RESCINDED the POA/ATHORIZATION to TaxRise to negotiate anything on my behalf with the IRS. Per Letter from the IRS, TAXRISE contacted them on May 28th, 2025, the following day and made a settlement to the benefit of the IRS. This is ILLEGAL because i had rescinded TaxRises POA. However, the IRS was unaware of this, the IRS having on file a POA signed by me months earlier. TaxRise mislead the IRS---that seems substantially ILLEGAL. yes? I ended up ffar worse off with TaxRise than without them. The IRS was NOT pursuing collection. However I have now ended up with a Tax Lien in the amount of $ 37,982.00, a TaxLien against me and my Home, and $7500 in service Fees TaxRise charged from the beginning. Beyond the incompetence of TaxRise, they broke the LAW by negotiating on my behalf without "LEGAL CONSENT"(I HAVE THE EMAILS and ALL PHONES CALLS WITH TAXRISE WERE RECORDED BY ME ADVISE I HAD WITHDRAWN MY POA CONSENT PRIOR TO THEIR CALL TO THE IRS ON MAY 28th) They is no doubt the "bupped"the IRS.
Resolution Sought
1) Tax Rise had No legal authority to negotiate this settlement as evidenced in multiple emails from me to Vaughn Martin, a supposed supervisor.
I sent this notice to TaxRise, Vaughn Martin and Alex Cellis, my supposed Case Manager,
2) TAXRISE....to pay $45,482.00 toward my TaxLien and reimbursement for their fees in the amount of $7500, part of this still be paid in instamment payments.
