The online program continued to ask me if I wanted to add an additional service to my return. It tried to add it automatically, but I noticed on the first calculated screen, so I went back, and I canceled it. So that summary page went down to the $74.88. I continued through processing my taxes. When I checked my bank account later, I had two separate charges. One from the filing of my federal and state, totally $74.88, and an additional $59.99 for whatever service they charged me for. I did not accept this service and I selected 'no thank you' on what I thought was every screen I possibly could have. I must have missed one, but it was a very deceitful way of having a customer charged for something that they said no thanks to multiple times during check out. I didn't think I would have needed to worry about it after the summary payment page. I'm guessing that is why it came as an additional charge. I have not opened the TaxAct program, or any communication from them, because I don't want to accidentally use whatever service I never wanted to begin with. Resolution Sought I'd like whatever service it was to be canceled, and for my 59.99 to be refunded. This is SO frustrating.
