Company Response
11/4/2024
TeleCheck has received your correspondence from Business Consumer Alliance regarding items that you requested be removed from your TeleCheck profile. Please note that I did call you at the number provided in the complaint to discuss this matter but was unable to leave a voicemail message. If you would like to discuss this with me directly, please call (240) 849-5021 or reach me directly by email at [email protected]. Your complaint states that you believe TeleCheck is "holding my debt collections hostage," but TeleCheck not only wholly denies this allegation, it also would not and does not benefit from this type of behavior. If you have concerns about debt items where TeleCheck is the current creditor, please provide those details so we can research. Alternatively, we can provide you a TeleCheck File Report (TFR) for your review to identify any information of concern. To pull a TFR, we would need the full routing and bank account numbers for any checking accounts you are using or wish us to research, or by using either your social security number, driver's license, or other state issued identification. Please note all information you provide us is legally protected from unauthorized disclosure. If you would like to request a TFR, either visit our website at https://getassistance.telecheck.com/consumer-file-report.html or if you would like to complete a hard copy form, please call our Consumer Call Center at (800) 366-2425 to request we mail you a form. Through the course of its research, based on the identifiers you provided in the letter, TeleCheck identified no active items in its system. If, however, you identify an item and you would like to make a payment for it with TeleCheck, please call TRS' Inbound Payment Department at (800) 366-1048 or you can mail a cashier's check or money order to: TRS Recovery Services, Inc., PO Box 9109, Coral Springs, FL 33075. Please include the debt reference number on the payment to ensure posting accuracy. Finally, please note that TeleCheck does not provide information to any of the three major credit reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion). TeleCheck would not have any information regarding credit cards; it only has information regarding checking accounts. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please call or email me directly as noted above. You may also contact our Consumer Call Center at (800) 366-2425 Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. This would be the best time to reach a supervisor if additional assistance is necessary. Please note all return correspondence must either reference the tracking number above (595646) or include a copy of prior correspondence received from TeleCheck.
Sincerely,
Michael Baker,
Consumer Resolution Services.
