I had a 2006 Chevy Equinox from Terre Haute Chevrolet. After my 3yr warranty was up the engine went out. I only got 3 free towes in a year so I 1st got it towed to someone. I knew and they couldn't help. So I then got it towed to Chevy. They tell me it's going to cost me $5,000 to fix it and that wasn't including labor. So they said to get another vehicle I would need a co-signer and my mom didn't want to co-sign again. So they said they would have to pick the vehicle that fit the situation. I only owed $4,600 on my vehicle! Yet they wanted to stick me in the smallest vehicle on their lot a 2017 Spark, and made me put $3,000 down. They said they had to put a lien on my house and they added a GPS on it so they can track me. Which they're making me pay for outta my pocket. This car is worth no more then $10,000 but somehow they made it $17,000. After their interest rate and everything else they tact on the total payments are $29,249.40 and total sale price is $32,923.40. These people are putting my house in jeopardy and are keeping me from having a vehicle that I would actually want, enjoy, and that actually has room in it. It's not a family vacation vehicle that I need. It's just a vehicle to get me to work and around town and that's it. My kid, nephew, and my friends are all tall. It's too small of a vehicle for me, my family, and friends to ride in. What happened to customer satisfaction??!! They took advantage of the situation I was in and making me pay more then I should Resolution Sought My desired outcome is to get rid of the lien on my house and lower the amount they are making me pay on it.

This transaction happened about 2.5 years ago. The customer needed transportation, was presented with options and made her own decisions. No one forced her into anything. I am prevent by government privacy rules from discussing the details of any customer's personal financial information. So, in order for you and I to discuss this further I would need a written document from the customer stating that the business and all it's employees are released from any liability with regard to her privacy rights.

What options exactly?? I was told either I had to fork out $5,000 not including labor to get my Equinox fixed, have a co-signer, or the dealership had to pick out a vehicle for me that they thought best fit my situation. Which the dealership lied to my mom and said she wasn't co-signing when they had her sign one part of the contract. So even though she said she didn't want to co-sign in the 1st place these people still had her co-sign into their own decision of a vehicle that they picked out for me not that I picked out for myself! Also put me in a situation that cost me way entirely more than I ever should have had to owed. Plus put my own house into the matter when it had nothing to do with my house at all. It was a very cruel situation these people put me in! It makes no sense at all for these people to me $32,000 deep in money when I was only $4,600 deep in the vehicle before. They knew I was desperate for transportation to work and they knew I had a vehicle that wouldn't even start. If I already used 2 free towes through my insurance at the time... where else would I have took it??!! I was outta options through this dealership and they knew it!!
