In 1985 Calvary chapel of Downey sent the adopted parents to Karen lane. I was about 6ths pregnant and I picked this couple because they seemed nice n Christian. I met Karen and I took directions she made sure I did not sign the papers until September 22 sixth maths after the birth. I was prepared to sign the papers as soon as the baby was born. I was happy with the couple and happy the baby would've loved. I had med-cal for 3 mths and the parents gave me 300 a mth to eat and the baby was healthy. I was depressed in April cause I had the baby in march c-section and I asked for one last 300 for food I was weak and sad. Karen lane said she'd call them and said they didn't have a lot of money cause of the baby n mortgage but they would help. This is when she told them I may change my mind and she the lawyer needed more money. This is what cause the problem 36 years later. The adopted parents are mad at me and their daughter will not meet me not to disrespect her parents. My daughter and my adopted daughter are very close and told me about Karen lanes immoral acts for more money. Now I am hurt for years and the adopted family has been mad for years all because this lady Karen lane took more money lied I may change my mind about adoption. I received medi-cal and 300 math for food for four mths I'm upset now thinking she made money off my flesh n blood. Karen yelled at me on the phone telling me I'm psychologically burdened and I replied I do have ptsd from the army but she kept telling me all these terrible things I am. Unfortunately the adopted parents and me got a thief for a lawyer. I want her to apologize, pay them back and pay me back for selling my baby. My intent was a good family and she turned this into disgusting behavior for me. How dare she a ruthlessscammimg illegal person. Karen you are all wrong.

My now ex (sadly) and I adopted a baby through Kane Lane. We contacted her in January, and in October of that year our son was born, to the birth mother who was found through Ms. Lane. The process was straight forward, and there were only minor hiccups not worth mentioning. The adoption proceeded smoothly and as our son was born in Texas, there was no 6 month period of worry that the birth mom would rescind. In addition, Ms. Lane matches you with birth parents who desire the same amount of contact, or no contact, after the adoption. A word of warning: it was expensive. My son is the world to me, and I owe that to Ms. Lane!
