I needed a sprinkler head replaced on my irrigation system, which usually cost $20. He charged me $75 without even asking me if that would be OK I didn't notice until I saw the bill what he had done I called him and he laughed at me. He said that's how I make a profit and I advised him that's a $55 profit that's unethical and he said what are you gonna do about it I'm 70 years old I live by myself in this house, and I think you took advantage of me, I truly do thank you. Resolution Sought I have no problems paying a fair price but a $55 profit for something that only cost $20 is ridiculous! I understand he has to charge labor but again $55 is a lot to charge I feel 30 would be fair since all you have to do is snap it on.

We originally were out at her property to install a rain sensor that was paid for by Trugreen in the area that they had worked. She had an additional head she wanted replaced not in the area that was covered by Trugreen. We told her it would be $75 (this is what we have charged for heads for 20 years) and she agreed as long as trugreen paid for the service call, they agreed and her total was $75. No bill was sent to her she paid with a check on the spot. She was happy when we left but called back a few days later after discovering heads were "$20." She was not by ANY means "taken advantage of" we have charged every customer this for a head replacement for 20 years.
