Bad Customer Service, Missed Deadlines
After several orders with this company, it would take a lot for me to order again. Quality of product and price have always been good. What good does that do if you don't get your shirts? Customer service and delivery/turnaround are the worst parts about this company. It's things that are completely avoidable, as well. 1. On my last few orders I've had to call in multiple times to check on the order, because I had not received my proofs after sending in the completed, finished artwork many days before. They would check on the order and find that they had not even started on it! This caused the shirts to have to be printed quickly right down to the last minute in order to get them shipped to me in time (which will be another point).2. Missed due dates - this could have been completely avoided per the last point. Twice I've had to chase down UPS in order to get my shirts because they were coming the very day I needed them, instead of the day I asked for them to be sent (due to my experience, I would always ask for an earlier date, otherwise they would not be there for the actual day). 3. HUGE SHIPPING ISSUES! They put their shirts into a huge box, but they don't pad the box with any other shipping material. They also put only one piece of tape on the seams, which is not enough to hold together a big, heavy box. Inevitably, the boxes get damaged (because they are not packaged right) during shipping. They've come split open, re-taped, or not at all. 4. THE LAST STRAW - On my last order, a box was lost by UPS. The other boxes came damaged (once again, due to poor package preparation). I assume the box that was lost was probably damaged along with product and UPS just threw it away and said they lost it. Either way, I called T-shirtland and informed them I did not receive the one box. They informed me they were working on it. Like always, I never got a call back. I had to call each time. The initial call was on a Thursday. I needed them the next Friday - 8 days away. I called them back Monday and UPS had not found it. I called Tuesday, and they informed me they would reprint the needed shirts and have them to me by Friday. I called every day to follow up because of my experience of having to do that or you don't get your shirts. Each time I called they assured me they would print that day. Finally on the day before I needed them, I called again. After all my calls, THEY STILL HAD NOT PRINTED THEM!!! I was not unkind any of the calls. I only care about one thing - getting my shirts when I need them. If you do that, the rest doesn't matter. They actually never reprinted my shirts until the following week, then they shipped them regular shipping so I didn't even have them the following weekend either. FINAL - I have found cheaper places that I am now using. On huge orders over 1,000 t-shirtland is still cheaper, but the hassle is not worth it. The other places are not as flexible on how many shirt colors, but who cares. I'd much rather skip out on all the drama and hassle that this company creates. There is cheaper out there. I'd keep searching if I were you. You're bound to eventually run into problems with this place.
